I’ve never played it! Not a single game in the whole dang franchise! I don’t know what it’s about.
I don’t know what niche the game fills. What is the draw? What is the allure? I know one thing: I
want a piece of the action! A friend will lend me a guest key tonight and I too will get to
experience Diablo 3, first hand for the first time. What am I getting into? Can a veteran of the series give me a brief synopsis? Thanks in advance.
This game came with my xbox 360 and it is getting a review several years after having been added to my collection. Why such a delay? The Halo franchise. Yes, I know that is more interesting, but this is a Forza piece, not a Halo one. Look, I will write that one soon, just be patient and read this one.
My best friend Kenny and I met in Jr. High School. The cast of characters at this pit stop between elementary and high school were the stuff of legend in our community. One such character was this skinny white dude I saw playing volley ball with a few chicks and saying, “yo mama” every time he scored a point. “I gotta meet this clown,” I thought to myself. After P.E. we were standing around waiting for our next class when the skinny white kid walks over. In his gym bag was a copy of the NES classic Section Z and a NES Max game controller.
Chapter 1: The Setup
Benjamin Scott entered the foyer of the .45cal headquarters downtown. Jericho, the enigmatic but brilliant man who ran the company had asked to see him. Generally, Ben tried to accommodate Jericho whenever possible. The man did, after all, write his paycheck.
Exchanging pleasantries with the receptionist, Benjamin made his way to the second level of the basement where Jericho kept his office. Somehow the windowless, bomb-shelter quality of the basement suited Jericho’s personality. Some said it reminded him of his time in the war.
Cappeon. It may have lizardfolk raiders and smell like shit, but at least there are giant thrice-cursed swamp krakens under the bridges. Colorful vacation, neh?
Will joins up with the party, having received a ride from Capt. Ganzori and his ship shortly after the Ambassadors (other PCs) left. He was sent from a fortune teller from the Niphra tribe.
Lizardfolk Raiders are defeated at the source of a convergence, or the Overlay appearing through a dimensional rift. Two fae spirits (watchers) appear and bargain.
Wait, did Dax just convince the A.I. that he is a Candlekeeper? Huh. He was VERY convincing.

Crashing through the floor of the insect warren above finds you strewn about the floor like so much broken furniture (which is also strewn about the floor). The cut stone room is softened somewhat by the no-longer-plush carpet on the floor and the tall wooden shelves on the walls which reach to the high, once-vaulted-but-now-busted ceiling.

The tangy musk of spices assaults your senses. Beyond the doorway you are greeted by the sight of several miss-mashed sets of carpeting and a bead curtain at the end of a brief hallway.

I quit WoW over a year ago. At the time it was stretching into time I wanted to have available for other activities. Suffice it to say, in an advanced "low commitment" guild, I spent a lot of time playing the same game.

Scuttlebutt around the station says that this is some sort of conspirational test run for stealing the San Diego Comic-Con, and I suppose a small part of me wanted to attend in a Spider Jerusalem, steaming-genitals-of-truth kind of way.
I live in San Diego and the drive to Anaheim is not normally a frightening one. This St. Patrick's day of 2012 was a beer of another color. Green.
I stopped playing World of Warcraft (WOW) and started playing Star Wars The Old Republic (SWTOR). Wow was my introduction to the wild and zany world of MMORPG’s (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games) and some of my fondest gaming moments happened in the world of Azeroth. I’m sure Blizzard Entertainment (the games creators) could tell me the exact amount of time I’ve spent on their servers and let me tell you: I don’t want to know! Why leave then you ask? Well the answer is multifaceted. It should be noted however that my experience was just that, my experience.
