This way, those bad ones MIGHT be fixed, so worthy to try.I have a NiCd AA 4.8v 700mAh battery of RC . I took it home and the light stayed red forever. How to charge rechargeable batteries? Green means it’s finished charging and red means it’s still charging. It sounds like you’re upset that you didn’t read the package. I guess I just learned more about batteries each day. What are the charger parameters and also any info on what the manufacturer suggests. Can I upgrade my 9.6 volt 1000 mAh battery to a 9.6v 1600 mAh ni-cad in a RC car ?You can check your calculator by setting the capacity to 100 mAh and the charger current to 100 mA.
I do not wish to over charge as I understand you risk a problem of exploding batteries etc.The voltage 1.35-1.37 V does not really say the battery capacity potential is already reached. I have a 4 cell AA 400mah 4.8v battery pack for a small radio controlled boat. Although the charger specs show the charger might be weak to charge them to the batteries’ fullest potential plus its voltage output level would not fit too well. Usually between 30 mA to 100 mA depending on the 9V battery capacity in mAh. Imagine not having to buy batteries again and again. I’m still using this charger and the original batteries that were included with it and haven’t experienced this issue. My charger turned green after first use- now it stays red?? And I do have all four slots full when attempting to charge. If you forget and leave them in the charger until the auto timer turns off after 11hrs, those batteries will be over-charged by over 50%. Of course you don’t suspect something like this will not work right out of the box. Also I find building my own specific chargers to be a lots of fun. Mine is the small white 2 AA/2 AAA kind. That depends on battery charger capability, you can find it here titled "How to Charge NiMH Batteries" 1. I will for sure invest in a smart charger next time.Yes, I was afraid of that.
I’m not too comfortable with batteries getting this warm….or the charger either. and proper resisters to get always the correct charging current.
I was hoping a website like this for charging times would exist. Energex 1300 rechargeable batteries the light is permanently green the batteries are flat.
You should see if you can get it replaced.I plugged this charger in as soon as I got it home, complete with the 4-AA NiMH batteries.
Whilst with the parallel connection of batteries, voltage is constant but capacities add. my rc car has a 2 x 9.6V 3000 mAh NiCd battery and can i replace 1 of the battery pack with a 9.6 V NiMH 4200 mAh which means 1 x 9.6 V 3000 mAh + 1x 9.6V 4200 mAh NiMH battery to operate?Other than this confusion on my part, I really found this calculator helpful. I CAN’T BELIEVE ENERGIZER IS SELLING A TOTALLY USELESS PRODUCT.My question is, how do you know when the batterys are fully charged?
I’m still using this charger and charge 4 batteries at once all the time.
I think there is something wrong with your charger. I don’t pay attention to how long it takes to charge the batteries, I just like that light. Are you plugging the charger into a power strip?
